Soundless (Preview) by Richelle Mead

SoundlessSoundless by Richelle Mead
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

**I received a preview of the first 6 chapters via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.**
------------------------------------

The story itself is well written - full of descriptive imagery, details, and developed characters. The preview, unfortunately, did not grab me.

From the preview the book appears to chronicle the life of a girl from what I gather is an area of China whose village is remote enough that people do not come or go, and years ago all the villagers lost their hearing - now many are going blind as well. Fei's hearing suddenly returns in time to have her accompany a male friend - Lo Wei - on a journey down the mountain to try to better the lives of all the villagers. The preview ended before they leave the village.
